A lot of birthdays today! First, to one of my childhood favorite artists: Shakira. And don’t forget James Joyce, Ayn Rand, and Farrah Fawcett.
Speaking of Ayn Rand, has anyone read the Fountainhead? Recommend x1000. Seriously. Also, (I probably shouldn’t mention this because I don’t want competition, but) the Ayn Rand Institute is holding an essay-writing contest with hefty cash prizes for essays on the Fountainhead, and I think on Atlas Shrugged as well (another of her books, I plan to read it soon).
Out of curiosity, what’s your favorite book?
